RIF: Rochester Jewish Book Festival starts today

The 28th annual Rochester Jewish Book Festival launches online today. 

The week-long event is comprised of author discussions, panels, and virtual events for the community to take part in. The festival's mission is to "create a showcase for Jewish authors and/or books of Jewish content," although, as Executive Director Andrea Miller points out, the festival is open to everyone. 

"It's about books, and it's very, very accessible to not only the Jewish community but the greater community as well," says Miller. "Some of the books are books of Jewish content, and others, the authors are Jewish. So this year in particular we've got a number of books that will appeal to the broader community." 

One of the highlights of this year's lineup is a session scheduled for tomorrow night with Jason Rosenthal. The session will be moderated by Democrat and Chronicle columnist Pam Sherman. Rosenthal is the author of My Wife Said You May Want To Marry Me.
